Welcome to my domain

I am a CS PhD Student at University of Virginia
My research focuses on analyzing large scale human mobility data. Currently, I am using this mobility data to explain disease dynamics and movement patterns. My research advisor is Madhav Marathe.

I completed my B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

My other interests are programming contest, anime, guitar and sketching. I also like to drive at night and find places of serenity. But most of all, I love listening to people's stories. You will probably find me a very good listener of stories.

My Music

If there's a music that fascinates me, I will try to cover it with my guitar. In terms of guitar playing skill, I consider myself mostly a beginner. I am recently opting for fingerstyle covers and it is proving difficult. But, the associate feeling of elation after covering something with fingerstyle is also rewarding.

My Anime

I have been watching anime since 2009 but don't consider myself a weeb. I consider anime and cartoon to be same thing. But it is noteworthy that japanese animes are unique in their own way. Some of my favourites are: Death Note, Code Geass, Steins; Gate, Full Metal Alchemist, Tatami Galaxy and Baccano. I am also a huge One Piece fan. I love discussing One Piece theories and lores with anybody interested. I also like to analyze hidden meaning behind different anime plots and it highly fascinates me when the plot points get connected with each other.

My Pictures

Another of my lesser favourite hobby involves drawing fictional and non-fictional characters. For drawing real characters, I will need a stencil reference though. Chances are that if you have helped me some way, I will draw you at some point in the future. Alternatively, if you don't ever receive your sketch, probably you do not matter much to me.

Programming Contest

I have moderate experience with competitive programming. I like problems involving graphs and dynamic programmings. My favourite data structure is segment tree and trie. My favourite algorithm is binary search and floyd warshall. I also like problems regarding heavy light decomposition but I don't feel comfortable coding them. Some of my contest programming profiles

Get in touch

As mentioned earlier, I love listening to people's stories. If you want to share one of yours over a cup of coffee, feel free to reach out. I will try to listen to you if I am nearby.
